The Fifth Avenue Hotel

The Fifth Avenue Hotel creates an oasis of calm amidst the frenetic pace of Manhattan. Mindfully blending personal service, superlative design by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, distinctive cuisine, compelling art and engaging cultural experiences, every aspect of Flâneur Hospitality’s inaugural 153-room hotel is tailored to delight, engage and reward curiosity.

Flâneur Hospitality

Flâneur Hospitality is an innovative initiative founded by accomplished real estate entrepreneur and world traveler Alex Ohebshalom. Every aspect of the Fifth, from the design and architecture to the food and art, is inspired by his travels. Flâneur Hospitality aims to create hotels that encourage exploration, fascination and wonder, and deliver a sense of serendipity and delight, while offering a sanctuary of unparalleled comfort, intimacy and inspired service. Alex adheres to Baudelaire's observation "Boredom is the worst of Miseries!"

The Neighborhood

NoMad is the heart of New York. The Fifth is steps from the idyllic Madison Square Park, the iconic Flatiron Building, the blooming flower district, as well as the city’s best dining, shopping and nightlife. These streets come alive with the sights and sounds, tastes and scents of Manhattan’s most vibrant destination.

The History

The Mansion halls of The Fifth are enriched by their history. Charlotte Goodridge, the widow of a millionaire importer created a lively home filled with collections and good company. The mansion was then leased as a gallery of fine art until it was re-imagined and rebuilt by the renowned architectural firm McKim, Mead & White. It has since been poised to take its final form: The Fifth.
